UIC Heritage Garden

The UIC Heritage Garden is a hands-on learning project with an internship program. Student interns work with faculty, staff, and community members to connect horticulture with environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, and social justice.

Seed Cards

A seed library is similar to a normal library, except it contains collections of seeds instead of books. The Heritage Garden’s seed library will continue to grow, receiving seeds from donors while offering seeds to garden-lovers.

We collected stories and recipes to present the cultural differences and similarities of people around the world as cultural heritage is often embedded in gardening and cooking practices.
